Role: Tactile Perception Integration Engineer

Teach robots to feel—and act accordingly.

Touch is the missing link between motion and meaning. A robot that feels pressure, texture, and micro-force variation can grasp eggs, hold tools, and sense humans. Your job is to turn raw tactile input into robotic intuition.

Your mission

  • Design tactile sensor arrays and their placement in robotic fingers and joints

  • Integrate sensor readouts into our control stack (CAN, SPI, analog)

  • Implement slip detection, grip adaptation, and surface classification

  • Fuse tactile data with proprioception and vision

  • A haptics nerd, soft robotics engineer, or biomedical systems hacker

  • Fluent in tactile sensor types (piezoresistive, capacitive, optical, etc.)

  • Comfortable building real-time signal processing pipelines

Integrate tactile and force sensors across robotic limbs and hands. Build the software layer that makes sense of this data in real time.
