Careers at SI Robotics

We’re not hiring employees. We’re onboarding pioneers.

SI Robotics is building what others say is impossible: a full-stack humanoid robotics platform, made in Europe, engineered for hyperscale, and powered by reinforcement learning and proprietary bionic actuators. Our mission is to solve the global labor crisis through general-purpose robotics. We design every component ourselves—from motors to firmware to data pipelines—because that’s what it takes to win.

We don’t optimise for comfort. We optimise for speed, depth, and ambition. If you’ve been waiting your whole life to work on something that truly matters—this is it.

Role: Bionic Actuator Architect (BLDC / Harmonic)

Design what every humanoid robot on Earth will one day use.

Actuators are the beating heart of humanoid robots. We don’t source them—we build them from scratch. We are pushing the physical limits of torque density, thermal performance, and control bandwidth. This isn’t R&D for its own sake—it’s weaponised engineering for a global robotics race.

Your mission

  • Design BLDC motor stacks from rotor-stator geometry up to housing

  • Integrate custom harmonic/planetary gearboxes with weight and torque trade-offs

  • Run thermal FEM simulations for active and passive cooling architectures

  • Co-design control loops with our embedded and control engineers (FOC + impedance)

  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on gear backlash, efficiency, and lifetime durability

  • Deep experience in BLDC design, electromagnetics, and mechatronic integration

  • An obsession with torque-to-weight ratios and millimetre-level tolerances

  • Prior experience in actuator design for aerospace, robotics, or e-mobility

  • Understanding of CAN-based control, torque sensing, and embedded motor control

Create the foundational dataset for humanoid reinforcement learning by acting out thousands of industrial micro-tasks in our full-body motion capture studio.

Why it matters

Actuators represent 70% of a humanoid robot’s cost and 90% of its motion identity. The team that builds the best actuators doesn’t just win—they define the future of motion.
